From Our President:

There is only one way that I can start this article and that is to thank each and every one of you for your love and support during my husband’s recent illness and now my great loss as he passed from my life. And to my dear John Barassi and the Men’s Club my most sincere thanks for your loving concern during this time. It was a very intense and difficult few weeks and you were there to help me through it and I know you will continue as I reconstruct my life to once again be with my dear Fratellanza Family.  You are one of my life lines and I cherish everything about the Fratellanza Club.  Your love and concern surrounds me and my family.

Life continues on and I want to thank Rose Marie Gish and Joyce Gengler for co-chairing the January Birthday Dinner which I knew would be a huge success with them heading it up and each of you doing your part to make it happen.  Thanks to the servers, the kitchen crew including our master cooks, the ladies who get the food out and the dishwashers.  Our ticket ladies, raffle leader and all her helpers and the bartenders who start off the evening for us.  Each of you who brought raffle prizes and all who attended the dinner is an important part of putting our dinners over the top.  I heard there was a full house in the Club room with all the men who were there and Joan Holland was back to take care of them with her TLC.  My heart-felt thanks to everyone.

Our next dinner is the famous Polenta Dinner headed up by Loretta Iacobitti and her daughter Vicki Berndt.  If all goes well I will be back with you for this dinner.

We have an Indian Casino trip coming up in March, our 67th Anniversary Dinner and March’s Birthday Dinner co-chaired by mother and daughter Terry Ventin and Anne Wegher.  What a blessing to have mothers and daughters chairing our dinners.  That is what our club is all about and how we keep our Italian heritage alive.

God’s blessings to each of you along with my love and appreciation.

 Lillian Taddei, President

Our valentines may be a smile, a cheerful word or two, a helping hand, a tender glance that signals, “I love you.”  Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!
