The Fratellanza Club receives many
applications for its yearly scholarship awards. Applications are received
from students in public as well as Catholic high schools in California. To
apply, students must be of Italian heritage and meet academic, financial
need, and character requirements. Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 -
$2,000 will be awarded.
The Fratellanza Club's Scholarship committee meets in April to review
applications and make its selections. Following the selection process,
letters are sent congratulating winners on their awards and thanking others
for their participation. Winners and their families are invited to an awards
dinner at the Fratellanza Club, where they will receive their certificate. Funds are provided to each school in September following verification of
enrollment.
Since 1984, the Fratellanza Club has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.
